BACKPACK/TORSO LENGTH SIZES
Depending on pack volume and intended use the suspension system of a backpack becomes an essential feature. Defining torso length is not necessarily critical on a daypack but crucial on backpacking or alpine touring packs, as only perfect fit can warrant transfer of a bulk of the pack weight to the hips.
The center of the hipbelt ideally rests on the hip bone crest (pelvis) in order to bear the bulk of the load (refer to diagram) especially on large internal frame backpacks. But no rule without exceptions and sometimes a shorter torso length is better, for example in alpine or mountaineering situations where a short back allows easy access to the climbing harness.
How to measure torso length
Use a measuring tape to measure the distance between the top edge of the shoulders or C7 vertebrae (the one that protrudes when facing down) to the top crest of the hip bone (pelvis).
Backpack Suspension Size Ranges:
Medium (M) = 19 - 20.5 in / 48 - 52 cm
Long (L) = 21 - 23 in / 53 - 58 cm
Note: Even the most elaborate suspension system can only work perfectly when fitted correctly! And as no two backs are identical, we recommend testing backpacks with sample weights in an outdoor specialty shop.
SLEEPING BAG SIZING
EXPED sleeping bags come in different lengths and widths, depending on the style, to ensure a good fit for a variety of different users and body types.

Handy, compact, good functioning
This little tool is handy. I would def recomend you get if you have a Megamat duo.or single. Its compact and can fit into the bag with the duo mat and all other supplies. I let the mattress self inflate as best it can then use this to reach the right firmness, which is better then the hand pump. Even fully deflated can inflate the mattress relatively quick on both settings. The light settings are good. Its not a rapid charger, but will give gadgets a good charge. So far the widget seems to holds a good charge, only used it for one weekend and it didnt run out of power.
Lot of blow for something this small
Sweet little tiny package, blows up a inflatable pad as expected with little trouble. But good luck figuring out which item is under which gray rubber cover - tough for old eyes to easily find the on-off push button.
Best pump for size
The widget is small and light enough to be taken on any adventure whether it’s a multi backpacking trip or camping trip. It has a unique ability to inflate mattresses, charge an electronic device, and also be used as a light. I have not come across a more versatile pump than the widget. The battery has a tremendous life span for the size of the device as well.
Works great I need more experience with it but it did everything I asked it to do. Charged my phone from 20% to 80% in minutes, provides ample light in my 12X14 wall tent. Inflated my Exped air mattress far better than just letting it self inflate. I'm happy with this purchase.
The widget performed very well. I recently returned from a six day overland trip in southern Utah and use an iKamper Skycamp roof top tent with two Exped sleep mats. It was my first time using the widget so I was concerned about the battery life and blower power. The larger mat is the Duo 10 LW+ & because the mat is completely aired down for stowage the widget begins the inflation from near zero inflation. It worked like a champ. The inflation was faster than expected and the noise level was acceptable in a camp with several other vehicles. I recharged the widget daily, but I’m not sure it was required. All in all, a good purchase with plenty of power. Looking forward to many more opportunities to use the product. Great Job!
