Creative Services Specialist
Tacoma-based EXPED USA, a subsidiary of Exped AG in Switzerland, is looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, strategy-oriented person to join the team as a full-time Creative Services Specialist. We are a fun-loving and hard-working team of outdoor enthusiasts and the person joining the EXPED team will have an immediate impact on the brand expression, creative strategy, and consumer experience. This position reports directly to EXPED USA Marketing Director and will work closely with both the marketing and sales teams.

EXPED is a privately owned outdoor gear company based in Zurich, Switzerland, which makes award-winning sleeping mats, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and accessories. Founded in 1983, EXPED delivers Comfort Anywhere no matter the adventure – from family car camping to remote expeditions. EXPED USA directs all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations for the brand in the US market.

Position Information
The Creative Services Specialist will be a focal addition to the marketing team and work in collaboration with the wholesale and direct-to-consumer sales team. The position leads the creation and communication of programs and initiatives for the brand and customer experiences in-store and digital. The primary responsibilities are creative development, design, and production of promotional print, digital, and in-store collateral along with any visual touch points. In addition to developing creative and brand appropriate experiences for EXPED customers, PR, and community events, this role will also assist on USA copywriting, photo, video, and product packaging across all consumer touchpoints.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create engaging, brand-appropriate content and market touch points for target audiences
- Creating in-store fixtures, product stories, and point of purchase solutions
- Contribute to strategy and long-term goal setting and collaborate with Swiss counterparts
- Collaborate and assist on all video and photo asset creation and editing
- Organize and maintain video/still image asset databases, including YouTube video channel
- Lead all tradeshow and brand event creative initiatives
- Assist marketing team to ensure all English-language copy is USA market appropriate
- Create and maintain calendar of creative deliverables integrated with marketing strategies
- Duties and tasks will be performed in a professional manner, according to EXPED USA policies and procedures
Candidates must have experience or transferable skills
- Developing and communicating brand and product experiences, internal and external
- Customer-first mindset, curious, innovative, accountable, highly motivated, and results oriented
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- 2-3+ years graphic design
- Understanding of font design, color theory, and other visual techniques
- Proficient with creative tools, software, and technology (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc.)
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and work well under pressure and short deadlines
- Ability to present strategy and solutions to diverse audiences
