Summit Lite is a stowable pack built with durable fabrics and technical features. It tucks neatly into its internal top pocket, allowing it to be carried in luggage, on a bike or in a larger pack and broken out when a daypack is needed. There is no frame or foam used on this one, so it takes up very little room when not in use. Durable, polyurethane-coated fabric makes it tough and water repellent.
Lightweight, mesh-lined shoulder straps spread the load comfortably over the shoulder straps and an adjustable sternum strap secures them against the chest. A light, removable hip strap is included for heavier or more unruly loads. A haul loop is placed between the shoulder straps to make the load easily graspable and behind it is placed a port for a drinking tube, which can be run down either of the shoulder straps and secured with an elastic loop. Two daisy chains on the outer panel accept straps for carrying extra gear or clothing and an ice axe loop extends beneath one. A stretch side pocket on one side holds a water bottle, gloves, hat or trekking poles. Internally, a separator panel and hanging loop hold a water reservoir.
The combination of features built into Summit Lite allow it to be used for more challenging, gear-intensive adventures. It travels well and is ready for sight-seeing, hiking or a climb to a summit.
