EXPED waterproof packs range from extremely lightweight to burly, full-featured to trim and refined. Some are everyday packs for day hiking and urban adventure, while others are specialist haulers for alpine mountaineering and snow sports.
Key to their versatility, waterproofness and long term reliability is their roll-top closures. The main compartments of all of these packs have been designed without zippers and are highly waterproof when rolled three times and clipped closed. This closure also allows overstuffing, making room for that bulky fleece jacket.
Each of the above packs is also factory seam-taped, making all seams waterproof. When an external zipper is included, it is a water-resistant zipper.
Note: no roll-top closure is waterproof when submerged in water!
