His passion is the mountains and he has climbed the famous Eiger North Face more than 50 times - now the well-known professional mountaineer Roger Schäli is Exped brand ambassador. As a Swiss all-round alpinist and above all as a person, Roger has been a friend to the Exped team for a long time. It's only logical that this has now finally led to a closer collaboration.

Awareness for high-quality equipment

His experience in the mountains, but of course also his awareness of high-quality equipment, make Roger Schäli the perfect partner for Exped and we are not the only ones looking forward to the exchange. "I am looking forward to working more intensively with Exped, especially as a tester for new products that make a small but significant difference for me on the mountain," says Roger Schäli.

He is not only enthusiastic about Exped's corporate philosophy, but also about the fact that a large part of the profit flows back into innovation. "Exped products simply have everything you need and no unnecessary frills. Just the way the professional like it."

He knows what he's talking about

Roger Schäli has been using Exped products intensively for a long time and therefore knows exactly what he is talking about. "For several years, I have relied on Exped products on my expeditions, first ascents and activities as a professional alpinist and mountain guide." One favourite product has already emerged: "The Whiteout is one of my most reliable companions," says Roger Schäli. The backpack has already accompanied him on climbs in Patagonia, in the Himalayas or on first ascents on the north face of the Eiger. "The Whiteout can do it all and is my absolute favourite of all backpacks!

About Roger Schäli

Growing up in Sörenberg, Lucerne, Roger Schäli knew early on where he wanted to go: to the mountains. Skiing in winter and climbing in summer. After the trained carpenter graduated as a mountain guide in 2001, he achieved the first ascent of the Arwa Spire Central Peak and the Arwa Spire West Peak in India together with Bruno Hasler and Stephan Harvey one year later and was even nominated for the Piolet d'Or. This was followed by the completion of the Patagonia triology of Cerro Torre, Cerro Standhardt and Torre Egger in 2006 and even a new record two years later. In 2008, Roger Schäli climbed the six big north faces of the Alps within the first six weeks of the year. But the professional climber is particularly fond of his home mountain, the Eiger. He has already climbed the Eiger North Face 50 times!
