The EXPED OUTFITTER PROGRAM supports businesses and organizations looking to purchase outdoor gear for use in their official operations. Eligible groups include guiding services, rental outfitters, and youth & educational program operators.

Gear purchased through the Outfitter Program is for business use only and is not eligible for resale.

How it works

Step 1: Apply

Apply for an Outfitter account by submitting an application form. You will be asked to verify your ownership of or affiliation with an eligible outdoor business or organization.

Step 2: Review

We will review your Outfitter purchase application within 5-10 business days. We are a small team here at EXPED so please be patient with us!

Step 3: Response

You will receive an approval decision via email. Please check your spam/ promotional folders if you do not see a response from us by the end of the review period.

Step 4: Log in

Log into your customer account to access your Outfitter discount and to place group orders. Eligible items will be discounted automatically and are subject to availability.

Eligibility

The EXPED Outfitter Program is intended for outdoor businesses & organizations looking to purchase gear for their official operations.

This includes outdoor guiding services, gear rental outfitters, and outdoor youth/educational program operators.

A business license or proof of employment by a registered business or organization is required to place Outfitter orders.

Please note that our program is available in the United States only.

What our program is NOT:

The Outfitter Program is not a wholesale ordering platform for retailers or 3rd party resellers; gear may not be purchased for resale.

Program Guidelines

Let's go over some important guidelines. 

  • Gear may be purchased for business use or individual professional use only. Please be courteous and refrain from using your account to purchase gear as gifts for friends and family members unless we are expressly running a Friends & Family promotional event.
  • Gear may not be purchased via our Outfitter Program for resale.
  • Item availability and pricing are subject to change. Outfitter ordering may be paused and certain items may be excluded from discounted purchase depending on inventory levels and demand.
  • Please refrain from sharing or posting online the details of your discount.
  • The EXPED Outfitter Program is available in the United States only. If you are located outside of the U.S. and wish to place a business order, you must provide a U.S. shipping address.
  • Outfitter purchases are not eligible for return or exchange. If you have questions about what gear might work best for you, please reach out to our Customer Service Team before ordering at service@expedusa.com.
  • Online availability is limited. If you are looking to place a particularly large order, please reach out to prosales@expedusa.com to see if we can accommodate.
  • Program membership will be re-evaluated on an annual basis. All Outfitter discounts will expire on December 31st of each year, regardless of when you applied.
  • By submitting an Outfitter Purchase Application, you agree to be added to our marketing email list.
  • Access to discounted professional pricing is a privilege. EXPED reserves the right to terminate program membership at any time, for any reason, including suspected misuse.

FAQs

What's the difference between a Pro Purchase Program account and an Outfitter Program account?

A pro deal account grants qualified outdoor industry professionals access to place individual, personal orders only. Unusually large or frequent orders will be subject to cancellation. We also approve a wider range of outdoor industry groups for pro deal.

With an outfitter account, qualified outdoor professionals can place larger business or group orders in addition to individual orders. Currently, we approve a more narrow range of outdoor industry groups for outfitter ordering. Unusual or suspicious order activity will still be subject to review.

Can I also order gear for myself with an Outfitter account?

Yep! Just like regular pro deal, please be a responsible outdoor industry member and keep the details of your discount to yourself.

Can I have both an outfitter and a pro deal account?

Unless you have two completely different sets of contact information (email, phone number), you will need to choose to either register for a Pro Purchase Program account or an Outfitter Program account.

You can always request to change to an outfitter account later if you'd like to place business orders by reaching out to prosales@expedusa.com.

I already have a pro deal account. Can I switch to an outfitter account?

Please reach out to prosales@expedusa.com to inquire about switching from a pro deal account to an outfitter account.
