Product Description
Tool Blade can be used to upgrade almost any backpack for the attachment of modern ice axes and ice tools. Its position on the pack can be freely selected, which is a great advantage over fixed attachment systems.
Tool Blade consists of three components: the aluminum blade, elastic attachment cord and the threading cord for ease of use with gloves and mitts. The elastic cord allows universal mounting on any daisy chain or webbing loop on the outside of the pack. One end of the elastic mounting cord goes through the pack loop and is secured to the inset grooves on Tool Blade while the other end (with the light threading cord) is pulled through the hole in the axe head, snugging the tool to the pack (see Demo video below).
An additional Tool Blade can be used at the spike end of the axe to secure it there or a strap can be used to accomplish this final attachment to the pack. Removal of the ice tool or axe from the pack is rapid and intuitive.
